What if there are complications?

Life threatening complications rarely happen instantly. I monitor you carefully through your pregnancy and birth. If I suspect you or your baby may be in danger we transfer care to the hospital, either by car or ambulance as needed. I accompany you to the hospital and serve as your advocate. In the event of a major emergency, I will call an ambulance, stabilize you and your baby and remain with you throughout. Most “minor emergencies” are well handled at home.
